VanSantra Music, founded by Joseph Akiba van Leeuwen and Moumita Santra, has the mission to carry on the business of music performances, music production and recording, and music education. The goal is to spread the joy of music throughout India and the world, foster musical connections, and educate the next generation of the global music community in India.
About The Partners
Joseph Akiba van Leeuwen, M.M. is a prolific and visionary musician who has been written about in the Times of India, The Hindu and other publications. He has performed hundreds of concerts in USA and India, taught dozens of students, and given lectures on Jazz and Indo-Jazz at Berklee Global Music Institute and the Indian Music Experience.

Dr. Moumita Santra, Ph.D, is a lifelong enthusiast of music. Having grown up in a Bengali household and educated for years in the traditions of Kathak and Rabindra Neto, she has now decided to foray into the field of music management. She holds a Ph.D from Banaras Hindu University.
Our Work
Van Santra Music, LLP engages in production of music concerts and music recordings, and teaches music to all ages. Our company is based in Chennai, the heart of the traditional music community in South India. We have had the pleasure of working with such greats as Padma Shri TH "Vikku" Vinayakram, Vidwans Mridangam Umayalpuram Mali, Ghatam Neelamani Rajaraman, Mahesh Vinayakram and Anirudha Bhat, Kalpana Patowary, Ron Cha, Aman Mahajan, Navtar Vishnu R, and many others all across India.
